We are working with a well-established RCVS accredited hospital near Stockport. They are currently hoping to find a RVN with a passion for cardiology to join their specialist team in their multi-disciplinary referral hospital.

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic individual for this rewarding role. You will have a great opportunity to be involved in the nursing care of a variety of conditions including, (but not limited to) acquired heart diseases, congenital heart diseases, and arrhythmias.

We are looking for an RVN with a good understanding of cardiology (or someone keen to learn!) and (after a period of induction training) who is confident supporting patients during cardiology procedures, including CT and bronchoscopy (under sedation and anaesthesia).  You will possess or develop confidence to apply monitoring equipment, such as Holter monitor or CAM device to their patients.

The successful candidate will have great communication skills to ensure clients and referring practices receive excellent customer service. You will be patient and caring towards often-fragile patients and support them through their diagnostic investigations. You will have the ability to work on your own at times but also possess great teamwork skills to allow the cardiology team to communicate and work effectively (as well as all other disciplines within the hospital). You will support their clinician using your computer skills, including sending ECG recordings to be reported, external blood tests, etc.

This is a really rare, fast paced and exciting role for the right individual.

Full and part-time flexible positions will be considered for the right applicant. Our client ideally needs support for 20-30 hours a week – the priority being the first half of the week. There will be 1 in 3 weekends. Days off in lieu given for any shifts worked at the weekend or bank holidays.

If you are looking for a hospital with referral level cases, and the ability to fund certificates; whilst providing you interesting cases- this could be the role for you. Many of the current nursing team have achieved or are working towards certificates in further studies (emergency and critical care, anaesthesia, surgery, and/or advanced diplomas.

An ideal candidate should have:

  • RVN status (newly qualified nurses welcome- training provided)
  • Confidence in their professional abilities
  • Ability to work well individually and as part of a large team
  • Desire to offer gold standard clinical care at all times
  • Interest in cardiology

  • Salary starting at £26,000 + (dependent upon experience.)
