We are working with a family-owned, independent veterinary practice in North London who are seeking a Head Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly team. This lovely surgery is well-equipped with excellent facilities, including endoscope and digital/dental x-ray. Conveniently located in a lovely suburb of North London, the clinic has excellent transport links and offers a supportive team environment where you can develop your nursing skills within a busy, first opinion practice. The Role
This is a permanent opportunity for a Head Veterinary Nurse – ideally this will be a full-time role, but hours are negotiable (e.g. 4 day working week, part-time considered, etc.). You should have at least a couple of years’ post-qualified experience and should either be a highly competent RVN looking for your next challenge moving into a senior role, or you will already have some management experience within a veterinary practice. You’ll be welcomed into a friendly, supportive team and will be working closely with the Practice Manager, as well as your team of 2 other RVNs, 3 Vets and a Reception team. Clinically, you’ll be tasked with all general nursing duties that come with working in a first opinion veterinary surgery. This will include inpatient care, anaesthesia, assistance in surgery including some orthopaedics, and you should be enthusiastic to assist with student nurse training as a Clinical Coach. You should have an excellent manner with clients and colleagues alike, and should enjoy working as part of a team.
Experience / Who we are looking for
• You must be registered with the RCVS
• Confident in leading a small team
• 2yr+ post-qualified experience is desirable
• Team-focused approach
• Enjoy client interaction
Work Hours & Benefits
• Full-time role ideally, but part-time considered

• 1:3 Saturdays with time off in lieu
• No Sundays, OOH or on-call
• Outstanding salary up to £38,000 p.a. in line with your level of experience
