We are working with a well-established, care focused surgery that cover the central Nottingham location. With a focus on standards, the team are very patient driven, and they are looking for a Head Veterinary Nurse to lead their experienced team of nurses.

Our client is a busy first opinion site that cover a huge range of clinical services from preventative healthcare to orthopaedics to surgical procedures.

The surgery has incredible purpose-built facilities with superb equipment including operating theatres, many consult rooms, Idexx in house lab and digital x-ray to name a few.

You will be supported to develop your skills and will have the opportunity to progress as we are a growing, thriving company with lots of new opportunities.

Location

You would be based just out of the centre of Nottingham.

The Role

On a day-to-day basis you would be responsible for running the nursing team and liaising with the veterinary surgeons, to enable the surgery are working as efficiently as possible.

You would also still cover all aspects of first opinion caseloads and surgery.

Experience / Who we are looking for

  • A team focused RVN with a focus on high standards of care.
  • You need to be comfortable with the running of a large team and dynamic clinic.
  • Someone who is both an excellent leader and a fantastic nurse who can encourage and develop the nursing team.
  • You will ideally be keen to continually improve their professional knowledge and experience and are an excellent communicator, understanding that educating pet owners about their pets’ welfare is just as important as providing high quality treatment.

Work Hours & Benefits

Your standard working hours will be an average of 38 hours per week (over 4 days), including a minimum of 1 in 4 weekends. No OOH.

  • 33 days annual leave including bank holidays
  •  RCVS fees covered
  • £500 CPD allowance/ 3 days
  • 5% pension contribution (after probation period)
  • Cycle Scheme
