About the practice
We are working with a small animal, well established practice based near Wimbledon in SW London. They have recently had a huge refurbishment and as a result are looking to grow their current nursing team.
This is an exciting time to be joining the practice as they are at an exciting changing point within the practice.
The surgery now has 6 consult rooms, 2 operating theatres, a dental suite including dental X-ray, isolation ward, dedicated imaging room with digital X-ray, ultrasound and rigid endoscope as well as a dedicated pharmacy. With a separate dog, cat and exotic wards as well as separate waiting areas!
The team consists of 5 vets, 5 RVNs, a large VCA team and a dedicated reception and customer care team. They are proud of their close-knit team ethos and hope to find someone who works well with them for the long term.
Our client also sees a variety of exotic cases on top of the usual small furies and small animals. This is encouraged as one of their vets is studying for a certificate in exotic animal medicine and two of the RVNs are also studying for additional qualifications in exotic species.
Duties and hours
Our client is open to full or part time applications. Full time hours are 40 hours per week as standard.
1 in 4 weekends and no ooh.
You would cover all aspects of first opinion caseloads and surgery. If you have an interest in exotics this would be encouraged, although it isn’t a requirement! The team also have the support in place for their nurses to cover schedule 3.
