About the practice

We are working with a fantastic small animal group that have 2 practices in the Oxford area. They are established and have a great reputation locally for high standards of care and a strong client base.

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and professional RVN to join their multi-site team! You will have the opportunity to spend time at both practices, splitting your time between both sites.

The practices are both extremely well equipped with state-of-the-art equipment providing advanced orthopaedic and keyhole surgery. The team also see a wide variety of cases and have a growing number of insured clients allowing cases to be thoroughly investigated and worked up to a high standard.

You will be joining a team of 8 Vet Surgeons, 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Nurse and 1 VCA, a 2-colleague reception team, 1 Administrator, 1 Assistant Practice Manager and 1 Practice Manager who work closely together to provide a supportive environment for patients, clients, and colleagues alike.

Within the vet team there are certificates in surgery, orthopaedics, internal medicine and others are studying various certificates- as a result there is a huge amount of opportunity for a variety of caseloads.

Duties and hours

This position is full time averaging 40 hours per week. NO OOH. Weekends are on a rota with TOIL following.

Your role will cover all aspects of first opinion caseloads and surgery and include the following:

  • Preparing animals for surgery and supporting in surgery
  • Administration of drugs, anaesthetic, and injections
  • Nurse clinics
  • X-rays
  • Inpatient care
  • Cleaning
