About the practice

We are looking for a RVN to expand our client’s experienced nursing and hydrotherapy team. The practice is incredibly supportive and rarely have opportunities!

Their present team has 12 RVNs, with a huge amount of experience and specialisations.

The group cover both small animal and equine patients. This role is for a small animal RVN, however should you be interested in equine caseloads- there may be an opportunity to cover both.

The practice also boasts an in-ground hydrotherapy pool run by the team’s nurses and is complimented by their physiotherapy, acupuncture, and pain clinics. Hydrotherapy training could be given to the successful candidate if this is of interest.

Our client is down to earth and understands the importance of job satisfaction. As a result, they encourage all their nurses to pursue their interests where CPD and certificates are encouraged and funded. Actively encouraging career progression through their career pathway framework.

Schedule 3 procedures are encouraged, as well as hands on nursing. The team pride themselves on their high clinical standards, and the positive vibe and team dynamic throughout practice.

Duties and hours

This is a rotational role covering inpatient care, theatre duties, preparations for surgical procedures, pharmacy and consultations on a weekly basis.

A proportion of equine nursing could be offered to interested applicants, but if you do not have interest in equine caseloads this is no problem at all and you can work 100% smallies.

Our client has recently moved to providing 24hr on-site nursing care with generous time off around the nightshift work, averaging a 38.5-hour week over an 8-week rolling rota.

This role would suit someone looking for a full-time position, but equally a part time night shift only role would be considered for the right team fit.
