We are working with an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our client’s well established, multiple award-winning team on a full-time basis as a Lead RVN specialising with Pharmacy.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for pharmacy, enjoying leading teams, be open minded to change. You will love working within a passionate team of RVNs, but also feel happy teaching SVNs. You will have at least 2 years post qualification experience as this is a senior role.
The current team is 14 RVNs, 2 SVNs, 4 VCAs and 9 Vets, 6 of whom have postgraduate certificates, and a supportive Client Care team.
Day to day you will cover all aspects of first opinion caseloads and surgery. There are a variety of 8-hour shifts to ensure nurses can rotate through their various disciplines. As the nursing team is larger, there is a fantastic knowledge base and experience to work alongside. The team actively participate in daily rounds, monthly team meetings, some schedule 3 procedures, all working towards improving patient care.
As a Lead RVN you would be a key member to represent the nursing team. You would help maintain a happy, efficient working environment whilst providing outstanding patient and client care. The Lead Nurse of Pharmacy works closely with the Clinical Nurse Manager to identify areas of development needed within the pharmacy, placing drug orders and communicate with the other team leads, if special orders are required. Whilst also leading and overseeing the undertaking of the stocktake.
