We are working on a fantastic opportunity with a celebrated referral practice in Gloucestershire, who are seeking a confident Referral RVN to join them on a fixed-term contract for 12 months. This amazing practice is one of the best in the region, featuring outstanding facilities in referral disciplines including ophthalmology, cardiology and advanced diagnostic and surgical facilities. You’ll be welcomed into a large, supportive team of more than 20 RVNs, so this role will be perfect for someone who loves working in a sociable, fast-paced environment. This is a fixed-term maternity contract for 12 months, beginning in August 2021. The practice is ideally placed in a beautiful area of South Gloucestershire, close to the Cotswolds and within driving distance of Cheltenham and Bristol.
The Role
As a Referral RVN, you will rotate through various referral disciplines within the practice including medicine, surgery, ophthalmology, cardiology and more. You will be tasked with a variety of nursing duties, including monitoring anaesthesia and providing gold standard nursing care to inpatients. You’ll be working with a diverse referral caseload – so whilst referral experience isn’t essential as full training will be provided, any prior experience you do have would be advantageous, particularly in surgery. This is a full-time position, working a 5 day week over a range of shift times. The weekend rota is just 1:8, with time off in lieu. There is a minimal on-call rota for occasional support to the nights team.
Experience / Who we are looking for
• You must be qualified and registered with the RCVS
• Referral experience would be a distinct advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided
• Confident in all general nursing duties
• Team-orientated
• Committed to providing gold standard care
