Our Client runs a modern and progressive first opinion, small animal practice which upholds RCVS accreditation. The practice has wonderful facilities and equipment such as ultrasound, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, endoscopy, tonometry, slit lamp, multi parameter units for both theatres and full in-house lab. The team currently consists of 4 Vets and a supportive nursing team. This includes certificate holders in surgery and ophthalmology, as well as four others studying. The group is passionate about making sure their staff are looked after, enjoy work & are able to develop in their career successfully. Mental health and a great work/life balance is a real priority to the surgery.
The position covers all aspects of first opinion routine nursing, where full support will be provided. Clinical freedom & case work up is encouraged, as is career growth within the practice. They are ideally looking for a full-time RVN/SVN, covering 4 days a week, 1:4 weekends and no OOHs. You will be supported & encouraged to be who you are & grow as a RVN.
Who are we looking for?
- RCVS Registered or 2nd Year SVN (full support provided)
- A Nurse who is looking to develop their first opinion skill set
- A great team player & communicator
- Someone with impressive customer service skills (must be great with humans AND animals)
- Organised & positive attitude
Working hours & benefits:
- Full-time, permanent role
- 4-day week
- No OOHs!
- Only 1:4 weekends
- Full support provided
- Salary circa £22,000 – £24,000 pa for RVN (SVN salary up for negotiation DOE)
