We are working on a fantastic opportunity with a celebrated first opinion veterinary practice in Cornwall, who are seeking a confident RVN to join them on a permanent basis. This lovely practice sees a varied small animal caseload and has a range of diagnostic and surgical facilities on-site, including radiography and a dedicated dental suite. You’ll be welcomed into a supportive team of 10 RVNs, 4 Vets and a lovely team of support staff. The practice is ideally located in a beautiful area of Truro, Cornwall – perfect for those who enjoy the coast during their time off!

The Role

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be responsible for all aspects of first opinion nursing within a small animal veterinary practice. Your daily responsibilities will include nurse clinics in areas such as weight management, tick removal and puppy/kitten clinics – as well as monitoring anaesthesia, assisting in surgery and some reception cover if required. Ideally you would have an interest in clinical coaching and will be happy in occasional sole charge, but full training can be provided if this is not something you’re confident with just yet. Full time or part time hours are available for this role, so there is reasonable flexibility with the shift times and there will be a maximum of 1 in 5 weekends with 1 night per week on-call.

• You must be qualified and registered with the RCVS
• Confident in all general nursing duties
• Comfortable in sole charge
• Ideally you will have an interest in Clinical Coaching
• Enjoy working in a team environment
• Committed to providing gold standard care
