We have a rare opportunity for a RVN/SVN to join a RCVS accredited hospital to the North of Durham. They also have ISFM silver status and various other awards, showing their talents within the industry – they are well-reputed & respected. The hospital has incredible facilities and equipment, including (but not limited to) laparoscopic equipment, laser therapy, in-house lab, radiography suite, ultrasound, digital x-ray and much more.

You will be joining a diverse team of nearly 10 Vets and over 10 on the nursing team. The team includes a variety of certificate holders or people working towards certificates, as well as team members with various interests including small animal medicine, surgery, behaviour cardiology, ECC and training SVN’s. They are a nurse training practice, making it a very supportive & accessible practice to grow within.

This is a full-time, permanent position where you will be able to embrace all general nursing aspects – from surgery to nurse led consults to inpatient care to nurse clinics. The role covers 40 hours per week, including weekends of which there are 3:8 (with TOIL). There are also some additional OOH sleeping shifts, paid at an additional rate. It is a super varied role, both in rota & caseload, keeping it interesting and gaining a range of experiences.
