About the role and practice.
Our client is a purpose-built multidisciplinary referral hospital that cover the central London and surrounding area. With a complete compliment of specialist-led services, including soft-tissue surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology, anaesthesia, cardiology, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, neurology, orthopaedic surgery & emergency and critical care.
We are seeking an RVN that has a love of surgery. This is an exciting opportunity to enhance your knowledge and skills in this area, whilst working alongside industry leading specialist vets and RVNs at gold standard patient care levels. You will be covering surgical cases the majority of the time but sometimes may be asked to work in other areas of the hospital.
Previous referral experience is not required, our client is more focused on finding the right fit within their current team.
Duties and hours
You will work enthusiastically within the nursing team to help maintain a happy and efficient working environment.
Your responsibilities will include the provision of high standards of patient and client care, surgical preparation, theatre assistance & maintenance, wards nursing, the handling, maintenance & care of surgical equipment (including laparoscopy & fluoroscopy), assisting with diagnostic procedures, monitoring of sedation and anaesthesia, accurate record keeping & effective communication and teamwork.
Hours are full time, and this works out at 40 hours per week. With weekends on rota. No OOH.
