About this vacancy and our client

We are working with a lovely practice in Bristol who are seeking a motivated, team-orientated Vet to join their friendly team. This surgery is part of a market-leading veterinary group within the UK, whilst priding themselves on having a warm, independent feel to the care and service they offer to clients and patients. You’ll be welcomed into an established, close-knit team who are hard-working in their approach whilst supporting each other and having fun along the way! The practice has expanded in the last year and plans to continue this growth in the years to come, so naturally your professional special interests and own ideas for the betterment of the surgery will be encouraged – the starting point will simply be providing outstanding levels of care and service in order to secure repeat business for the future. There is a surgical focus within the existing team, one of whom is a certificate holder along with the support of a highly efficient nursing team – so you’ll be made to feel welcome and a part of the practice from day one.

The Role

If you enjoy a varied, diverse role within a supportive, first opinion practice environment this would be the perfect role for you. With an experienced team around you, you’ll see a range of medical and surgical cases which will enable you to diversify your skillset as a vet and continue with your own professional development. Your responsibilities will include working up a range of medical cases and performing routine surgeries in-house, and you will be encouraged to pursue your own special clinical interests. Interests within the existing team include surgery and cardiology, so whether you would like to continue building the surgical caseload or bring something completely new to the table, for example a medical or consult bias, we would love to hear from you. This is a 4-day working week (37.5 hr working week) with a 1:4 weekend rota with time off in lieu.
