VN Recruitment Ltd
About this vacancy and our Client’s Veterinary Group
We are working with a fantastic referral centre in Derby who are seeking an experienced, accomplished Veterinary Anaesthetist to join their friendly team – either on a full-time, permanent basis, or on a fixed term maternity cover contract. If you would like to be welcomed into a young, forward thinking and encouraging team, you will fit right in – there is an emphasis on support and further learning, and you will always have the opportunity to push your skills and knowledge to the limit. You will be supported by a team of RVNs who are highly trained in anaesthesia and CPR. The hospital offers plentiful in-house CPD and further learning opportunities, so will be well suited to someone who wants to continually improve upon their existing expertise. Conveniently located within walking distance of the centre of Derby and the train station, as well as East Midlands airport and the beautiful Peak District, you won’t be short of things to entertain yourself outside of work, either – whether you are a city-dweller or a country bumpkin at heart!
Aside from your daily anaesthesia duties and responsibilities, you will also be expected to assist other departments with analgesia and critical care, which will include participating in the OOH rota. You will gain exposure to a wide variety of interesting cases in orthopaedic surgery, neurology, cardiology, exotics and much more.
You must be a diploma holder or residency trained anaesthetist in order to be qualified for this position. You must also be registered with the RCVS.
