We are working with a beautiful, purpose built veterinary hospital in Cambridge who are seeking another Veterinary Surgeon to join their diverse team.
This RCVS accredited practice has an excellent local reputation and features state-of-the-art on-site facilities, inclusive of full digital diagnostic facilities, on site laboratory, full operating theatres, separate dog and cat hospital wards, endoscopy and radiography, to name a few! They are open 24/7 – providing their own OOH service via a dedicated night team. The hospital is super keen on providing continuity of high standards of care for their loyal clientele.
The hospital is run by a large, lively and supportive team of vets, nurses and support/administration teams. The Vet team have a variety of specialisms including geriatric care, diagnostic imaging, ECC, medicine & surgery. They are a dynamic team whose interests are fully supported – and the same support will happen for all of their future team members!
The practice is ideally situated within a stone’s throw of the beautiful city of Cambridge, as well as being well connected and easily accessible by car or public transport.
The Role
As a Vet at this hospital, you will need to thrive is a busy, hospital/referral environment and work well under the pressures that naturally come with this. On the clinical side of things, your main aim will be striving to achieve gold standard care for all the patients in your care. The hospital sees an interesting and varied caseload of medical and surgical cases and you must be keen to work more complex cases.
This can be either full-time or part-time but is a permanent role.
Experience / Who we are looking for
- RCVS registered
- Good all-round Vet with high clinical standards
- Ideally you will have some hospital / referral experience
- Great team player & efficient communicator
- Confident in skill set and in decision making
