Our Client has a wonderful opportunity become available for a Vet to join their growing team in Darlington on a full-time, permanent basis.
The hospital is independently owned and RCVS-accredited, with modern facilities and equipment. Well renowned in the local area for their high clinical standards, they have a fantastic reputation and loyal clientele (with a high insured percentage). With equipment and facilities such as endoscopy, in-house laboratory, ultrasound, digital x-ray, radiology, dental suite, isolation ward, cat ward, reptile ward, ultrasonography and much more, you will have more than enough to work with to deliver these high standards and care for the patients in need.
The team are dedicated and dynamic with a variety of interests and specialisms such as exotics, dermatology, feline, behaviour, avian & reptiles, with a couple working towards certification. They are an efficient and flexible team with a real passion for what they do. They pride themselves on doing their own OOH to keep the consistency of care and being able to fully see a case through, from start to finish.
The Role
As a Vet at this practice, you will be involved in a variety of routine consults and ops as well as more complex cases. You will be fully supported by the team around you, but also must be confident in your own skill set.
This is a full-time, permanent position with a 4-day week, creating a wonderful work/life balance. You will also be involved in a 1:6 on call rota, partaking in their well known inhouse OOH care.
Experience / Who we are looking for
- RCVS registered
- 2+ years’ UK experience
- Exotic interest preferred
- A calm manner around more fearful animals (e.g. cats!)
- A confident, all-round Vet with a passion to carry on learning & developing
- High clinical standards
