Our Client in Swindon are seeking another Vet to join their close-knit team on a full-time, permanent basis. The practice is a small animal, first opinion practice with a great reputation in the local area. It has both RCVS accreditation and the ISFM gold status. They have a very loyal clientele due to their wonderful facilities, team, patient care & high clinical standards.

The practice is state-of-the-art, with modern facilities and equipment including infusion pumps, capnography, tonometry, dental x-ray, flexible gastroscope, bronchoscope, rigid endoscopes, doppler ultrasound, in-house blood testing and laparoscopy. They also offer fantastic referral services such as ophthalmology and complex orthopaedic surgery in-house.

The team are extremely talented and supportive, working efficiently together whenever possible. It has a real ‘family’ feel to the surgery. They work hard to create a comfortable environment for their patients, recognising that mental health is just as important as physical (in both patients and in humans!). You will be joining a strong team (5 vets and over 5 on the nursing team) that includes certificate holders.

The Role

As a Vet at this practice, you will be covering all standard first opinion consults & ops and will be confident in doing so. You will primarily be working as part of a team, but there will also be times where you will be working in sole charge so you will need to be clinically strong. Within this role, you will be supported to professionally develop and have ample opportunities to do so.

This is a full-time, permanent position (40 hours per week), with only 1:4 Saturday mornings and no OOHs, creating an incredible work/life balance.

Experience / Who we are looking for

  • RCVS registered
  • 3+ years’ experience preferred / strong & confident clinically
  • Works well in a team but also independently
  • Vet with a positive, fear free approach to the role
  • High clinical standards, amazing patient care & great customer service skills
