About the company

We are working with a fantastic college that cover the North East area, they rarely recruit as they have a strong longstanding teaching team.

However, they do presently have a rare opportunity to join their (Veterinary Nursing) Department/Team on a fixed term basis, this is to cover a maternity leave that is set to begin in October.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Nursing lecturer, you do not have to have taught before, but you will have a passion for teaching future RVNs.

Duties and hours

This role will be working part time, fixed term contract basis.

Part time hours are covering 22.2 hours per week; this is 3 days per week with no weekends and no OOH. Hours are 8.40am -5.20pm each day.

Within this role, you will be responsible for course and module organisation in addition to teaching across veterinary nursing programmes.  You will work in a brilliant team environment, so you must enjoy working with others.

Who are we looking for?

• RCVS or MRCVS registered.
• A confident, caring RVN or veterinary surgeon.
• You will have experience of supporting veterinary nursing students either in an educational setting, or clinical environment.
• Great team player & communicator.
• High clinical standards & gold standard patient care.
• You do not have to have taught before, but you will be keen to teach SVNs.
• Someone who is looking to develop their career.
• Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.

Key benefits:

• Salary of £31,758 to £34,700 per annum for full time, so this is pro rata’d to the part time hours. This range is dependent on experience.
