About the practice
Our client is a busy, small animal first opinion practice in the centre of Newmarket, Suffolk.
They have a team of 6 RVNs, 4 Veterinary Surgeons, 5 Client Care colleagues, with inhouse specialists in cardiology, ophthalmology, and an orthopaedic surgeon. As a result, each day is varied, with a huge range of caseloads.
You will be able to use all your nursing skills, incorporating consults as well as schedule 3 every day. Our client’s nursing team includes RVNs with interests (and certificates) in Surgery, ECC and behaviour.
Day to day you will be using your full nursing skills for inpatient care, general anaesthesia, clinics, emergency care and you would be encouraged to carry out x-rays: positioning and processing, dental scale and polishes, bloods and intravenous catheter placement.
Hours: 40 hours per week – 1 in 6 on call weekend. Part time applicants would be considered. Shifts Include: 7-1, 7.30-4.30, 9.30-6.30, 12-9, no on call during the week
