About the practice
Our client is a well-established first opinion practice located near the picturesque Heybridge Basin, offering a great work/ life balance with excellent transport links to Chelmsford, Witham and London.
The friendly team includes Veterinary Surgeons, Nurses, Student Nurses, VCAs, Receptionists and an experienced Practice Manager. The practice offers a supportive, collaborative environment with regular clinical meetings, in house CPD and excellent opportunities to develop your clinical interests.
Working alongside a visiting Small Animal Surgery Certificate Holder, the practice manages a varied caseload with strong clinical support and the freedom to deliver high-quality patient care.
Hours
- 3–4 days per week (9am–7pm)
- 1 in 4 weekends
- No OOHs
- Minimal bank holiday commitments.
Day to day duties
- First opinion consultations.
- Routine and emergency surgery.
- Medical workups and case management.
- Working collaboratively with the wider team.
Who are we looking for?
- RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
- Ideally 3–4+ years’ UK small animal experience.
- Confident with consultations and routine surgery.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Passionate about patient care and teamwork.
